PhD Studentships
The Centre for Professional & Educational Research (CPER) at University College Plymouth St Mark & St John (UCP Marjon) is currently offering bursaries for doctoral study. The work of the CPER focuses on three broad themes related to education and professional practice:
- education policy and practice;
- health and wellbeing;
- social inclusion.
Applications are invited for full- and part-time study pursuing research in any of these areas. Students will join a lively, supportive environment, where each is treated as an individual and an essential contributor to the research community. Bursaries are available to UK/EU students, and cover the costs of fees and some travel expenses for essential research training.
UCP Marjon doctoral degrees are awarded by the University of Exeter, and students will benefit from access to training and research opportunities at both institutions. (Further information on the University of Exeter's Doctoral programmes is available here.)
Normally students will have a good UK Honours degree (2.1 Honours or international equivalent) and a Masters degree. For programmes in Education a 4-year PhD programme is available for students who have not completed in-depth research training at Masters level. As part of your application you will need to be able to demonstrate that you have the research skills, vision and motivation to make your research project a success.
The deadline for bursary applications is 01 June 2012.
