University College Plymouth St Mark & St John

Tutors require heavily used materials to be available for a shorter loan period. The collection of these books is situated on the ground floor near to the Library Enquiries Office. Items are issued on a University College card even if not being removed from the Library.

Short loan items are issued for:

4 hour blocks from time of check out or from 4pm until 10am the following morning on a Monday - Thursday

From Friday 4pm until 12.30pm on Saturday morning

At weekends the loan periods are slightly longer, books issued at any time on Saturday are issued until 12:30pm on Sunday and books issued at any time on Sunday are issued until 10:00 on Monday

Short loans cannot be renewed over the telephone but can be re-issued to a borrower upon presentation of the item concerned and a valid library card. Substantial fines of 75 pence per hour or part of an hour are charged if they are returned late.
