Christians in Sport

Christians in Sport's mission is to reach the world of sport for Christ. Information about the aims and ethos can be found on the Christians in Sport website.

Being a Christian in a sports team can be a lonely place. Often you are the only Christian in the team.  It can be hard to stand up for your faith and live for Jesus in that environment. Here, at Marjon Christians in Sport, we are a student led group who meet together once a week. We are from a varying number of sports and whatever your sport you are welcome to attend. If you are from a sport we have not thought of please come along!!!!!

We talk about how our sporting week has gone, we encourage each other in our faith and pray that we can be the salt and light to our team mates in what can be a very intense environment.

Christians in Sport has a saying ‘Pray, Play, Say’.

Pray – We pray for strength to play in a way that honors God. We also pray for our team mates who don’t yet know the good news about Christ.

Play – God gave us gifts and talents to play our sport so we use every fibre of our being to play in a way that glorifies Him.

Say – We try to talk about the Gospel to our team mates so that they too can know the good news.

If you have a love for God and sport and want encouragement, prayer, or just to chat with fellow sporting Christians, the Christians in Sport is for you.
