MEd in Professional Development
Introduction
The MEd in Professional Development is a Master’s level programme offered to any professional on a part-time, flexible, in-service basis and is supported by University College tutors based throughout the South West. There are three 60-credit stages to the programme and it is normally recommend that each stage is completed within one academic year. Applicants must complete the UCP Marjon application form and return to admissions@ucpmarjon.ac.uk

The course duration is normally 3 years part-time but can be completed more quickly dependent on individual circumstances.
Entry Requirements
Normally a first degree is required to entry but admission can be considered to applicants without degrees on an accreditation of prior learning basis. Please contact Karen Stockham on kstockham@ucpmarjon.ac.uk for further information
Module Information
There are no taught modules - each stage of the MEd is guided by participants’ own research and study interests based on their individual professional background. Participants commence their studies by completing an individual learning plan and then progress to a research study based on their interests. We can offer specialist supervision in coaching and mentoring, leadership, organisational development, international studies, learning and development and many other topics of interest. Our tutors are drawn from across the professional community and can offer support in many additional topics.
Fees and Funding
The fees for the 2011-12 academic year are £1,440.00 per 60-credit module.

Career Opportunities
Career opportunities are varied for professionals with Master’s qualifications but can lead to internal promotion, team or department leadership, organisational management and inter-professional opportunities.
