Introduction
The Accelerated Special Education Needs Single Honours Programme aims to provide an academically challenging and intellectually rigorous course of learning that will be of particular interest to those students wishing to pursue a career related to primary teaching or Early Years education, here or abroad.
The Accelerated Special Education Needs Degree is an intensive course that will provide you with a critical, multidisciplinary and holistic understanding of education theory, policy, research and practice with specific focus on Special Educational Needs. Through formal teaching, active inquiry, blended and work-based learning, you will develop your academic and professional understanding of contemporary educational issues, policies and debates, and your personal and professional identities as you move on to become the educators of the twenty-first century.

Module Information
Year 1
Nine modules provide a comprehensive, multidisciplinary grounding in the academic, critical and practical skills that will underpin and support your learning throughout your degree.
Year 2
Again, you will study 9 modules, including an experiential placement. Two of the modules will form your dissertation.
